A trader was killed during a clash between police and protesting students on Saturday afternoon at Mauna Chowrasta under Sreepur upazila in Gazipur.
Gazipur superintendent of police, Kazi Shafiqul Alam, confirmed the news.
He, however, did not give any further details.聽
The victim is Jahangir Alam, 45, a trader from Satkhira district, according to his neighbor Kajol Mia.
He said that the Shafiqul was at his shop during the clash.
鈥業 came to know that his body was lying on road. Then students rescued him in a critical condition and he died on way to a hospital for treatment,鈥� he said.
He immediately could not confirm whether the death was occurred from bullet injury.
