
Another new case was filed with the Panchlaish police station for throwing Bangladesh Chhatra League activists from a six-storied building in the city鈥檚 Muradpur area during a clash over the quota reform movement.
Panchliash police filed the case against 50 people and 30-35 more unidentified people.
With this, a total of 20 cases were registered with different police stations in the city regarding the clashes surrounding the quota movement.聽
CMP media and public relations department additional deputy commissioner Kazi Md Tarek Aziz told the journalists that a total of 516 people were arrested in the port city so far in 20 cases of sabotage filed including today鈥檚 one in different police stations in the CMP in the last 12 days.
A group of Chhatra League activists took shelter on the roof of a six-storied building near the Muradpur intersection after being chased by the protestors during the clash. When the protestors attacked there too, BCL workers tried to climb down by the sanitation pipe from the roof. Besides, a video of them being thrown from the building went viral on Facebook and YouTube through social media.
