The fresher鈥檚 orientation of the Eastern University鈥檚 Summer-2024 was held at the permanent campus of the university on Sunday, said a press release on Monday.
Chairman of the board of trustees of the university, Mohammad Ali Azam, was present as chief guest at the programme.
He urged the students to inculcate social service and leadership qualities, develop strong moral character and develop smart in addition to studies.
The EU vice-chancellor Professor Sahid Akhtar Hussain presided over the programme, which was addressed by, among others, treasurer Shamshul Huda, Professor Abbas Ali Khan, Professor Mahfuzur Rahman, Mohammad Moniruzzaman Akand, ABM Imdadul Haque Khan, director of admission department Najla Fatmi.
