At least eight people, including a child, were killed in separate road accidents in Chattogram, Munshiganj and Jashore districts between Thursday night and Friday.

抖阴精品 staff correspondent in Chattogram reported that a child and two people were killed in a head-on collision between a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and a truck in the Military Pool area under Patiya upazila in Chattogram on Thursday night.


The deceased are Fahim, 5, Rumi Akter, 28, and CNG driver Anower Hossain, 45.

Patiya police station officer-in-charge Jashim Uddin confirmed the news to 抖阴精品.

He said that the speeding truck heading towards Patiya and the CNG-run auto-rickshaw heading towards Boalkhali collided head-on at about 11:00pm, leaving the three dead on the spot and injuring a woman.

In a separate road accident, a man died on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway on Friday morning, reported United News of Bangladesh.

The deceased is Kamrul Alam, 38.

The accident took place when a Chattogram-bound bus hit a covered van in the East Pole Mogra area at about 8:30am.

抖阴精品 correspondent in Munshiganj reported that a motor bike mechanic was killed in a road accident as he hit a roadside tree losing control of the bike at Sirajdikhan in Munshiganj on Friday morning.

The deceased is Newaz Sheikh, 19.

Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, meanwhile, reported that three people were killed and nine others injured in two separate road accidents in Bagherpara upazila in Jashore.

The deceased are Mohammad Siddique Sheikh, 50, a resident of South Srirampur village, Sabuj Hossain, 42, a resident of Rajabari village of Nandail upazila in Mymensingh district and Tarek Sardar, 35, a resident of Keshabpur upazila.

Tularampur highway police station officer-in-charge Mritunjoy Biswas said that one of the accidents took place in the area when a Jashore-bound truck hit five people on the side of Jashore-Narail road and the truck fell into a roadside ditch in Dakshin Srirampur area at about 7:30am.

The other head-on collision between two pickups in the Karimpur area of the upazila occured on Jashore-Narail road at about 11:30am, leaving five others injured, said the OC.
