The Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge鈥檚 Court on Thursday issued a ban on the foreign tour of Uttam Kumar Biswas, an additional superintendent of police of Rapid Action Battalion-2, to facilitate the proper inquiry over graft allegations against him.

Judge Mohammed Ash-Shams Joglul Hossain of the court passed the order, responding to a petition submitted by Anti-Corruption Commission鈥檚 assistant director Ruhul Haque, also the inquiry officer in the graft case against Uttam, said an ACC official.


ACC in the petition said that the commission had initiated an inquiry against Uttam over different irregularities and corruption allegations of amassing illegal wealth.

The court allowed the travel ban for 60 days against the RAB officials.
