Mohammedan Sporting Club finished runners-up after a 2-1 win over arch-rivals Abahani Limited in one of five matches on the final day of the Bangladesh Premier League in Gopalganj on Wednesday.

Forward Arif Hossain (29th and 90th) scored a brace for Mohammedan after Brazilian forward Bruno Gon莽alves Rocha gave Abahani (13th) an early lead in the game.


Bashundhara Kings, who clinched a record fifth consecutive title earlier on May 11 with three matches to spare, completed their campaign with a 3-1 win over Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra at the Kings Arena in the city.

In the other three matches of the day, Police Football Club beat relegated Brothers Union 2-0 in Mymensingh, Forties Football Club beat Chittagong Abahani 3-1 in Rajshahi, and Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society beat Sheikh Jamal DC 2-0 in Munshiganj.
