A court in Chattogram on Sunday ordered four sons of former expatriate welfare and overseas rmployment minister Nurul Islam BSc not to leave Bangladesh.
The four restricted ones are Muzibur Rahman, the managing director of Saowara Dairy Foods Ltd, and three directors -- Zahidul Islam, Kamrul Islam and Wahidul Islam.
Judge Muzahidur Rahman of Chattogram Money Loan Court passed the order in the afternoon.
The court barred the four sons of the former minister following a plea made by the Uttara Bank in a Tk 30 crore loan default case, said Rezaul Karim, bench assistant of the court.
He said that one of the sons of the former minister was present in the court and the restriction was not imposed on him.
The court restricted foreign travel of four other sons of the ex-minister as they were absent during the hearing on Sunday.
