Ajax Sporting Club confirmed their super-six berth in the Premier Division Hockey League with a 6-4 win over Dilkusha Sporting Club at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.
In the day鈥檚 other match of the 11-team league, Usha Krira Chakra beat Victoria Sporting Club 7-1 at the same venue.
Ajax now have 14 points from 10 games with four wins against two draw and four losses.
Usha KC registered eight wins against one draw and one loss and raised their points tally to 25 to match with league leaders Abahani Limited, who face holders Mariner Youngs Club in today鈥檚 match to complete their preliminary stage of the league.
Abahani, Usha KC, Mohammedan Sporting Club, Mariner YC and Police Sporting Club confirmed their spots in the super-six stage while Sadharan Bima Corporation, Bangladesh Sporting Club, Azad Sporting Club, Victoria Sporting Club and Dilkusha Sporting Club failed to do so.
In today鈥檚 other match, Mohammedan will play Bangladesh SC to complete their preliminary stage campaign.
