A newly formed platform of theatre activists, Theatre Artistes Association of Dhaka, has announced its 13-member executive committee at a meeting at the National Theatre of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka.
The TAAD aims to develop the skills of theatre activists, including actors, directors and designers as well as uphold their rights and welfare, said a press release on Friday.
Azad Abul Kalam has been made as president while Saif Suman as secretary general, Irene Parveen Lopa as vice-president and Shamim Sagor as treasurer of the platform.
The other office bearers of the platform are Kazi Toufiqul Islam Emon as organising secretary, Asadul Islam office secretary, Naznin Hasan Chumki communication secretary, Apu Shahid event secretary, Kazi Roksana Ruma welfare secretary and AK Azad Setu as club secretary.
Amlan Biswas, Reza Arif and Shanjita Sharmin Pia have been made as executive members of the TAAD.
