Chattogram-based mime artiste Rezwan Razan staged a solo mime production titled Anil Kaka at eight-day long Bangla Week 2024 in Birmingham on Saturday.
Organised by the Bangladeshi Artist Development Agency, a series of events is celebrating Bengali artists at Birmingham Hippodrome, Midlands Arts Centre, and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. 聽
Mime performance Anil Kaka portrays migration as a result of sectarian violence, happening around the world.
Everyday a lot of people become refugees, lose their relatives due to genocide in Palestine, Syria, Ukraine and Myanmar, Rezwan Razan said, adding that the performance focuses on violence and questions all humanitarian organisations.
The festival features theatre shows, art exhibitions and concerts to promote Bangladeshi art and artists globally.
