Pakistan has extended its airspace closure for Indian flights until August 24, the Pakistan Airports Authority announced.

According to a NOTAM, Notice to Airmen, issued by the PAA, no aircraft operated by Indian airlines—or any military or civilian aircraft that are Indian-owned or leased—will be allowed to use Pakistani airspace.

A NDTV report said that the restriction came into effect at 3:50pm on Friday, India time, and would remain in place until 5:19am on August 24.

India has also closed its airspace to all Pakistani aircraft until July 24.

Both countries initially imposed airspace bans on April 30 following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 people.

The restrictions have since been extended multiple times as tensions continue.
