A faction of the Jatiya Party on Wednesday demanded a level playing field for all political parties before the next general election and holding the election in a free, fair and credible manner.

The faction chairman Anisul Islam Mahmud made the demand while speaking at a discussion at the faction鈥檚 central office in the capital鈥檚 Gulshan area to mark Upazila Day.


He said that it would not be possible to hold a free, fair and credible general election without a neutral administration.

He also demanded that the partisan advisors be removed from the interim government.

The faction secretary general ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader demanded that the next general election should be held in a free, fair and credible manner with the participation of all political parties.

He called on the interim government to withdraw the baseless cases filed against Jaiya Party leaders and activists.

The Jatiya Party faction鈥簊 central leaders Sarfuddin Ahmed Shipu, Serajul Arefin Masum,

Kazi Nazmul Ahsan Litu, and Mohammad Belal Hossain, among others, also spoke.
