Chief adviser Professor Muhammad Younus started meeting with leaders of seven political parties and one Islamic organisation to discuss the country’s current political situation and the upcoming national elections.

The meeting started at about 5:00pm on Tuesday at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka.


The seven political parties are — AB Party, Nagorik Oikya, Ganosamhati  Andolon, Gono Odhikar Parishad, Liberal Democratic Party, Islami Andolon Bangladesh, and Jatiya Gana Front.

Representatives from Hefazat-e-Islam also took part in the discussions.

Earlier, on Sunday, Yunus met with leaders of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the National Citizens’ Party.
