Kaharole police on Saturday arrested two activists of banned Bangladesh Chhatra League at a village of Dabor union while they along with their supporters tried to bring out a procession.

The police also seized a banner, a motorcycle, four mobile sets and a student identity card from their possessions but other associates of the arrested managed to escape.


The arrested BCL activists are Arif Alam,31, of Ghasipara area in Dinajpur town, and Asaduzzaman Asad, of Suiary area in the town.

The police intercepted a group of youths as they came to know that the banned BCL activists would bring out a procession in the area. As police tried to take them to custody, most of them except two managed to escape.

OC of Kaharole police said that they were trying to arrest the other BCL activists and process was going on to take legal action against the arrested persons.
