The leaders of different political parties and labour organisations on Tuesday paid last respect to labour leader Lutfar Rahman in front of the central office of the Communist Party of Bangladesh on Comrade Moni Singh Sarak in Dhaka.

The body of Lutfar Rahman, a veteran freedom fighter and a vice president of the Bangladesh Trade Union Centre, was kept on a temporary stage in front of the CPB office for an hour from 10:00am.


Central leaders of CPB, Socialist Party of Bangladesh, Workers Party of Bangladesh,  Bangladesh Jasod and labour organisations including Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad and Trade Union Centre paid last tribute to him there.

The body was then kept in the TUC central office on Topkhana Road for a while.

The body was then buried in Banani Military graveyard at about noon, a TUC press release said.

Lutfar Rahman died at a hospital in Dhaka on Monday. He was 75.
