The 15th anniversary of the death of former finance and planning minister and former senior leader of Bangladesh Nationalist Party, M Saifur Rahman, was observed in Moulvibazar on Thursday.
M Saifur Rahman Smriti Parishad and the family of the late politician paid respects to him by placing wreaths on his grave at Bahamardan in Moulvibazar Sadar.
After Zuhr prayer, a milad mahfil was held at the village.
The district BNP president M Nasser Rahman, M Saifur Rahman鈥檚 eldest son, was present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Moulvibazar district BNP, upazila BNP, municipal BNP offered milad and dua along with placing wreath on the grave of Saifur Rahman.
Besides, a commemorative meeting was held at Moulvibazar Janamilan Kendra under the initiative of M Saifur Rahman Smriti Parishad.
