Bangladesh Awami Jubo League, the youth front of the ruling Awami League, on Thursday announced partial committees for its Rajshahi district and metropolitan units.
The announcement came about nine months after the units鈥� tri-annual conference on September 26 last year.
In the metropolitan unit, Moniruzzaman Khan Monir and Towrid Al Masud Rony have been appointed as president and general secretary, respectively. Both were joint general secretaries in the previous committee.
Besides, other office bearers are 鈥� vice presidents Aminur Rahman Khan Rubel, Mokhlesur Rahman Milon, Mukul Sheikh, Majedul Alam Shibli and Zainal Abedin, joint general secretaries Shafiquzzaman Shafiq and Raihanul Rahman Royal, organising secretaries Khaled Hasan Biplab and Orbindo Dutta Bappi, documentation and publication affairs secretary Mursalin Haque Babu, and assistant secretaries Pranab Kumar Sarkar and SM Ashikur Rahman.
In the district unit, Mahmud Hasan Faisal Sajal and Yasir Arafat Saikat have been appointed as president and general secretary, respectively. Sajal was a vice-president in the previous committee, while Saikat was a joint secretary.
Other office bearers of the district unit are 鈥� vice presidents Alamgir Hossain Ranju, Zobair Hasan Ruban, Mujahid Hossain Manik, Ariful Islam Raja, Tochhikul Islam, Wasim Reza Liton, Kazi Mozammel Haque and Jahangir Alam, joint general secretaries Mubarak Hossain Milon, Samaun Islam and Sejanur Rahman, and organising secretaries Kamrul Islam Mithu, Rafikuzzaman Rafiq, Habibur Rahman Habib, Merazul Islam Meraj and Faisal Ahmed Runu.
The newly formed committees have been asked to form a full-fledged committee and submit it to the central committee within the next sixty days.
