Artists have depicted the nature and culture of Bangladesh in the group art exhibition titled ‘Hridoyer Ronge Swapna Saje’ under way at Safiuddin Shilpalay at Dhanmondi in Dhaka.

The exhibition, organised by artists’ group North Canvas Bangladesh, has been curated by Ahsan Ahmed. It showcases 70 artworks, including paintings and sculptures by 37 artists.


Besides, two guest artists, Tarun Ghosh and Alauddin Ahmed, have displayed their works at the exhibition, which is featuring artworks of artists Alley Khan, Ajit Datta, Chandra Shakher Roy, Emon Ali, Most Mishkatul Zannat, Rahima Afroz, Siddikur Rahman and others.

Alley Khan’s mixed media painting titled ‘Trap 3’ shows a fish with a fusion of oriental and modern patterns.

Ajit Datta’s acrylic on canvas artwork titled ‘Bengali Culture’ shows a troupe performing songs in a field by playing traditional musical instruments, including harmonium, dhol and ektara.

Emon Ali’s metal sculpture titled ‘Control of Motion’ shows lines depicting a human figure.

Mishkatul Zannat’s watercolour on paper artwork titled ‘Bihangam’ shows a bird catching fish.

The exhibition, which was inaugurated on Friday, will end today.
