Galleri Kaya, an Uttara-based art gallery is celebrating its 21st anniversary through a group art exhibition titled ‘Art is Time and Beyond’ at Uttara in the capital Dhaka.

The 16-day exhibition was inaugurated by daily Prothom Alo editor Matiur Rahman on June 27.


The exhibition is featuring 70 artworks of 35 artists, created by using different mediums, namely oil, acrylic, charcoal, mixed media, ink, pen, etching, serigraph, woodcut watercolour and mixed medium on paper and canvas between 1952 and 2025.

Artworks by Bangladeshi artists, including Abdus Shakoor Shah, Abul Barq Alvi, Hamiduzzaman Khan, Maksuda Iqbal Nipa, Shahanoor Mamun and Shohag Parvez, have been displayed in the exhibition.

Founded by artist Goutam Chakraborty, the gallery began their activities from May, 2004 and organised more than 150 exhibitions with many art trips, camps and workshops.

The exhibition will end on July 12.
