‘The interim government also continues some controversial mega projects which were taken by the previous fascist government which is unacceptable,’ Umama Fatema said, adding that the interim government should discuss the matter with environment activists instead of sabotaging the movements. Â
Amal Akash said that the environment must be included in reform plans of the post student-led mass uprising in Bangladesh.
‘I urge the interim government to focus on citizen related issues with the reform activities of the state,’ said Amal Akash.
Several members of the movement have been staging a round-the-clock sit-in since December 14, demanding cancellation of the expressway segment stretching from Tejgaon to Plassey Crossing to save Panthakunja, trees and Hatirjheel Lake.
