Bangladesh Ganasangeet Samanya Parishad organised daylong Bijoy Utshab 2024 comprising songs, dance and poem recitations at Central Shaheed Minar in the capital on Tuesday.
Cultural troupes including Bangladesh Udichi Shilpigoshthi, Kranti Shilpigoshthi, Wrishijo Shilpigoshthi, Bonhishikha, Satyen Sen Shilpigosthi, Samasbar and Ponchavasbar performed group songs while dance troupe Spandan and Dhriti Nartanalaya rendered a dance recital at the event.
Recitation organisation Srot Abritti Sangsad and Srutighar performed a poem collection dedicated to the 54th Victory Day of Bangladesh while child artistes鈥� troupes聽including Nandonkuri and Mandira Sanskrit Pathshala also performed at the event.
Presided over by Bangladesh Ganasangeet Samannay Parishad president Kazi Mijanur Rahman the event featured solo songs of Samar Barua, Alak Das Gputa, Abida Rahman Setu and Pralay Saha.
Bangladesh Ganasangeet Samannay Parishad general secretary Manjar Chowdhury Sweet said in his welcome speech at the programme that history could not be changed by any political parties because it was created by people鈥檚 effort.聽
