The 2nd General Council meeting of the South Asian Baseball and Softball Federation was held at The Grand Four Fourwings Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. During the meeting, elections were held for the Executive Committee for the years 2026-2029.
The organization's president was unanimously elected (Syed Fakhar Ali Shah of Pakistan), along with the senior vice president (Dr. Anupam Hossain of Bangladesh) and the general secretary (Deepak Neupane of Nepal).
Furthermore, Dr. Anupam Hossain is also a respected public health and sports media personality and Senior Vice President of the Bangladesh Baseball and Softball Association.
In addition to that, MD Afzalur Rahman, the President of Bangladesh Baseball and Softball Association was elected 1st Member-at-Large for SABSF and Rafiq Mia Chowdhury was elected to serve as the South Asian Federation's executive director.
