The 31st edition of the National Men鈥檚 and the seventh edition of the National Women鈥檚 Boxing competitions will begin at the Muhammad Ali Boxing Stadium in the city on Sunday.
A total of 172 boxers鈥�104 men and 68 women鈥攆rom 72 teams across the country will compete in 25 weight categories: 13 for men and 12 for women.
USA-based Bangladeshi female boxer Zinnat Ferdous is scheduled to arrive in the city today to take part in the competition.
Bangladesh Boxing Federation general secretary MA Quddus Khan disclosed the details of the competitions during a press conference at the National Stadium in Dhaka on Saturday.
