Global AI device ecosystem company HONOR is officially set to begin local manufacturing in Bangladesh by signing an agreement with Smart Technologies Ltd, said a press release on Sunday.

With this partnership, HONOR is about to set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in the country, strengthening local capabilities and providing greater access to advanced mobile technology for Bangladeshi consumers.


The agreement, signed by George Zhao, president, HONOR South East Asia, and Md Jahirul Islam, managing director, Smart Technologies BD Pvt Ltd, will mark a new chapter for Bangladesh’s technology sector.

The new manufacturing factory will be established at Smart Hi-Tech Park in Kaliakair. With this initiative, an exciting change is expected for Bangladeshi consumers as devices will soon be marked ‘Made in Bangladesh,’ combining global innovation with local strength.

Speaking about the partnership, George Zhao stated, ‘Bangladesh is an exciting and rapidly growing market. Through this partnership, we hope to bring HONOR’s global AI innovation closer to the people of this country through local manufacturing.
