Pubali Bank PLC has donated a microbus to Bangladesh Medical College as part of its social responsibility, said a press release.
Pubali Bank managing director and chief executive officer Mohammad Ali as chief guest handed over keys of the microbus to BMC at an event at the college premises recently.
BMC principal Mohammad Jalaluddin Iqbal chaired the event.
Among others, BMC executive committee co-chairman Khandaker Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, honorary secretary Major General Md Rafiqul Islam, honorary treasurer GM Jainal Abedin Bhuiyua, governing body chairman Kazi Mazharul Islam, Pubali Bank deputy managing director Md Shahnewaz Khan, general manager and Dhaka North Region head AKM Abdur Raqib and Dhanmondi branch head and deputy general manager Niger Sultana were present.
At the end of the programme, Mohammad Ali planted a tree at the future campus of Bangladesh Medical College.
He said this gift would serve as a symbol of friendship and mutual cooperation between the two traditional institutions in the coming days.
