Prime Bank PLC and Green University of Bangladesh recently signed an agreement to strengthen industry-academia collaboration through joint initiatives and student-focused programmes.

The signing ceremony was preceded by a seminar titled ‘Financial Inclusion: Engaging & Inspiring Youth in Banking,’ a joint initiative of Prime Bank and Green University under the bank’s flagship PrimeAcademia initiative.


Green University vice-chancellor Mohammad Shorif Uddin was present as chief guest at the seminar. He noted that financial inclusion was vital for sustainable development and youth empowerment. 

From Prime Bank, SEVP and liability head Shaila Abedin and SVP and financial inclusion and school banking head MM Mahbub Hasan attended the seminar.

From Green University of Bangladesh, pro vice-chancellor Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, treasurer Md Fayzur Rahman, dean and professor Mohammed Tareque Aziz and registrar Captain (Navy) SM Salahuddin NGP were present.

Through PrimeAcademia, Prime Bank supports educational institutions nationwide with integrated financial solutions — including digital fee collection, payroll services, school banking and customised student accounts.
