In separate events on Sunday, Sonali Bank PLC, Palli Sanchay Bank, Janata Bank PLC and Rupali Bank PLC launched their ‘Customer Service Fortnight’ programme as part of the Financial Institution Division’s Youth Festival-2025 initiative.
Some other banks have also launched programmes under this initiative, which will be conducted from October 19 to November 2.Ìý
Financial Institution Division additional secretary and Sonali Bank director Md Azimuddin Biswas inaugurated the bank’s fortnight-long programme at the bank’s head office.
Sonali Bank deputy managing director Khan Iqubal Hossain presided over the event. DMD Md Rezaul Karim and students from different universities were present on the occasion.

Palli Sanchay Bank chairman Md Abdul Khalek (former Secretary) was present as chief guest at the bank’s launch event organised via Zoom platform from the bank’s head office.
Among others, directors Md Zahedul Islam (former Secretary), Sardar Md Keramat Ali (additional secretary and director general of Bangladesh Rural Development Board), Mohammad Mohiuddin (additional secretary, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division), Farida Yasmin (joint secretary, FID), deputy managing director Khan Iqbal Hasan, general managers ABM Zahid Hossain and Md Ala Uddin were present.
On Sunday, special assistant to the chief adviser Anisuzzaman Chowdhury inaugurated Janata Bank PLC’s ‘Customer Service Fortnight’ programme. He also launched the bank’s NFC-enabled Taka Pay Card.
FID secretary Nazma Mobarek attended as a special guest and inaugurated the bank’s digital loan disbursement system ‘e-credit management system.’

Janata Bank chairman Muhammad Fazlur Rahman presided over the event. Among others, managing director Md Mojibur Rahman and deputy managing directors Md Golam Mortuza, Md Fayez Alam, Md Nazrul Islam and Md Ashraful Alam were present.
In an event at Rupali Bank PLC’s head office, FID additional secretary Md Ahsan Kabir inaugurated the bank’s initiative under the Youth Festival-2025.
Among others, Rupali Bank managing director Kazi Md Wahidul Islam, deputy managing directors Parsoma Alam, Hasan Tanvir and Md Harunur Rashid were present.
As part of the programme, agricultural loans were distributed to 8 young entrepreneurs from the bank’s Naogaon Niamatpur branch in Rajshahi and 10 from Mahiganj branch in Rangpur.
Throughout the fortnight-long programme, reception and information desks will be set up at 586 branches and 36 sub-branches across the country.
