Bangladesh Cold Storage Association organised ‘Stakeholders Meet’ on Saturday as part of the preparatory activities for the upcoming Potato Festival 2025 at Gulshan Club, Dhaka, said a press release.
Leading industry figures, government officials, and key stakeholders of the sector attended the meeting, maximising the impact of the festival and highlighting innovations, preservation techniques, processing methods, and export opportunities in the potato industry.
The ‘Potato Festival 2025’ aims to establish potatoes as a strategic agricultural commodity both in domestic and global markets.
BCSA president Mostafa Azad Chowdhury Babu said, ‘There is a vast opportunity to expand the use of potatoes in Bangladesh in a diversified and innovative way.’
The ‘Potato Festival 2025’ will be held in December 12-13 at International Convention City Bashundhara, with the Bangladesh Agro-based Product Producers and Merchants Association and the Bangladesh Seed Association joining as associate partners.
