
Mercantile Bank PLC with the Bangladesh Bank began a month-long entrepreneur development training programme in Narayanganj on Monday, said a press release.
The initiative is financed by the Asian Development Bank and implemented by the Finance Division under ‘Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme.’
BB additional director and project director Md Nazrul Islam attended the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.
Mercantile Bank SVP and Narayanganj branch head Farid Uddin Ahmed Bhuiyan presided over the event.
BB SMSPD joint director Mohammad Wasim, MBPLC CCO and SEVP Shah Md Sohel Khurshid and VP and SME division head Md Mostahidur Reza Chowdhury were also present at the event.
A total of 25 potential entrepreneurs have been enrolled in the training programme being held at Technical Training Centre, Jalkuri in Narayanganj.
