MetLife Bangladesh customers will now be able to receive their digital insurance policy documents within 24 hours of submitting policy applications, subject to meeting all requirements.

This initiative sets a new standard for customer-centric innovation in the insurance sector, said a MetLife press release.

Traditionally, after a customer’s application goes through risk assessment process, policy documents are delivered in paper format — which takes a few days.

With this innovation, MetLife customers will now receive a digital copy of their policy document through email within 24 hours.

Alongside, they will also receive the paper copy.

The digital policy document contains the customer’s filled-in application forms, details of the insurance policy, a personalised welcome letter and terms and conditions.

Just like other important financial documents, insurance policies need to be preserved for future use and by adding a

digital channel, MetLife is making it easier for customers to securely store their policies and have instant access to them whenever required, the release said.

Ala Ahmad, chief executive officer of MetLife Bangladesh, said, ‘At MetLife, our mission is to make insurance simpler, faster, and more accessible for our customers. By introducing the 24-hour digital policy document issuance, we are not just speeding up a process, we are reimagining how customers experience insurance.’

‘This innovation reflects our commitment to combining protection with convenience, ensuring our customers can focus on what matters most in their lives,’ he said.

According to the release, MetLife is a leading international life insurer in Bangladesh, serving about 1 million customers with a strong commitment to financial protection and innovation. Through its wide range of life insurance solutions and digital initiatives, MetLife continues to play a pioneering role in advancing financial security and trust in the country.
