
Mohammad Hasan Arif on Monday assumed position of vice-chairman (chief executive) of the Export Promotion Bureau, said a press release.
Prior to this appointment, he held several key positions in the Economic Relations Division, including wing chief of administration and Middle East wing as well as America and Japan wing.
Arif, also additional secretary to the government, previously served as commercial counsellor at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Tokyo and represented Bangladesh as alternate governor at the Islamic Development Bank.
In addition, he has served as a board member of various institutions such as Bangladesh Islamic Solidarity Educational Waqf (IsDB-BISEW), Institute of Public Finance Bangladesh and SME Foundation.
He joined Bangladesh Civil Service in 1999 in the 18th BCS Administration Cadre.
