
Parveen Mahmud has received lifetime women leadership award 2025 of South Asian Federation of Accountants, said a press release.
She received this award at the SAFA Women Leadership Award ceremony held on Tuesday in Dremis, Sri Lanka.
She is currently chairperson of Manusher Jonno Foundation, MIDAS, Her Story Foundation and Shasha Denims PLC.
She previously she served as chairperson of UCEP Bangladesh and the ASD Survivors Foundation.
She was the first female president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh and the first female board member of SAFA.
She started her career at BRAC and later was deputy managing director of PKSF and the founding managing director of Grameen Telecom Trust.
She was also a partner at a chartered accountancy firm. Under her leadership, she has made significant contributions to women鈥檚 empowerment, social innovation and inclusive growth in South Asia. She is a Progressive Melvyn Jones Fellow of Lions International.
