Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC on Monday provided financial assistance of Tk 5 lakh to a poor farmer and rickshaw puller of Muradnagar Upazila of Cumilla district, said a press release.
The bank provided the aid for the treatment of his wife and child as part of its corporate social responsibility programme.
SJIB managing director (current charge) Imtiaz U Ahmed handed over the donation cheque to Md Mehedi Hasan at a function organised at the bank鈥檚 corporate head office.
Among others, SJIB SEVP and company secretary Md Abul Bashar, SAVP Md Jakir Hossain, in-charge of public relations division and bank foundation KM Harunur Rashid and executive officer of bank foundation Md Kamal Miah were also present in the event.
