Banglar Pathshala Foundation, in collaboration with Mutual Trust Bank PLC as its principal partner, inaugurated 鈥業nternational Lecture Series #14: Individual Well-being and Social Welfare鈥� on Saturday, said a press release.
The virtually event marks the beginning of a six-month journey of 13 sessions exploring the intersections of economics, ethics, well-being, and social justice, inspired by professor Amartya Sen鈥檚 capability approach and social choice theory.
Amartya Sen was present as chief guest.
Professor Rehman Sobhan chaired the event.
Among others, MTB director Syed Nasim Manzur and MTB managing director and chief executive officer Syed Mahbubur Rahman were present.
