Hamdard Bangladesh on Saturday held a meeting of its board of trustees at its head office at Banglamotor in the capital, said a press release.

Chairman AK Azad Khan presided over the meeting.


Among others, vice-chairman Chowdhury Mahmud Hasan and secretary general, managing director and chief mutawali Md Yusuf Harun Bhuiyan were present.

Also present were Investment Corporation of Bangladesh chairman Abu Ahmed, Social Development Foundation chairman Muhammad Abdul Mazid, Ekushey Padak winning chest disease specialist Iqbal Hasan Mahmud and former Senior District Judge Abul Hossain Khondker.

Waqf administrator Md Nur-E-Alam and Md Abdul Munayem joined the meeting online.

The meeting reviewed the ongoing activities of Hamdard Bangladesh, its future plans and various welfare initiatives.

Important decisions were taken to modernise the organisation, expand healthcare services and further strengthen contributions in education and research.

Also present at the meeting were Kamrun Nahar Polin, senior director (marketing and sales and planning and development), Bashir Ahmed, director (production), Amirul Momenin Manik, director (information and public relations), Brigadier General (retired) Mahbub Anwar, director (Hamdard Foundation), Nazmul Karim, director (finance and accounts), Md Abdul Majid, company secretary and director (administration), Manzurul Alam, vice-chancellor of Hamdard University Bangladesh, Mizanur Rahman, deputy director (administration) and acting director (legal and protocol), and Abul Taimur Chowdhury, deputy director (marketing).
