
Karmasangsthan Bank on Thursday opened its Ishwardi branch in Pabna, which is the bank鈥檚 283rd branch, said a press release.
Chairman AFM Matiur Rahman, also former Secretary, attended as chief guest and inaugurated the branch.
Managing director Arun Kumar Chowdhury and audit division general manager Md Amirul Islam were present as special guests.
Karmasangsthan Bank鈥檚 Rajshahi divisional office deputy general manager Md Mukhlesur Rahman presided over the event.
Among others, head office deputy general managers Md Moshiur Rahman (loan and advance division) and Monoj Roy (branch control division) were present.
During the inauguration, AFM Matiur Rahman distributed loan checks among entrepreneurs of the Ishwardi branch.
Subsequently, a business development meeting was held at ASM Kamal Uddin Memorial Hall of the Bangladesh Sugarcrop Research Institute at Ishwardi in Pabna with participation from regional managers and branch managers from the Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura and Naogaon regions.
In the meeting, AFM Matiur Rahman advised everyone to ensure quality loan disbursement through proper customer selection.
He also urged all to strive to achieve 100 per cent of their business targets from the beginning of the fiscal year and to work with honesty and dedication.
In his remarks, Arun Kumar Chowdhury emphasised the need of elevating recovery rates to desired level, reducing defaulted and classified loans and achieving 100 per cent of all business indicators.
