Mobile financial service Nagad has refunded Tk 12.83 crore to 24,630 customers.
According to a press release dated August 19, when Evaly closed in October 2021, more than Tk 17.69 crore of customers鈥� money was kept with Nagad.
Of the amount, Nagad returned Tk 12.83 crore as of now.
On completion of proper verification with directives from the government, Nagad in several phases refunded a little over Tk 6.14 crore to 1,631 customers in 2023 and more than Tk 6.68 crore to 22,999 customers in 2024.聽聽
The entire process of refunding Evaly customers鈥� funds kept with Nagad has been completed under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Commerce鈥檚 technical committee on digital commerce.
At present, over Tk 4.86 crore of Evaly customers鈥� money has been kept with Nagad.
