Denmark ambassador to Bangladesh Christian Brix Møller on Monday paid a courtesy visit to Public Private Partnership Authority chief executive officer (secretary) Muhammad Rafiqul Islam at the latter’s office in the capital, said a press release.
The meeting featured a bilateral exchange, with a special focus on the Laldia Container Terminal Project of Chattogram Port Authority, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing Bangladesh’s port capacity and trade competitiveness.
The PPP Authority reaffirmed its commitment to fostering sustainable infrastructure through global partnerships, highlighting Bangladesh’s readiness to work with leading international investors and development partners such as Denmark, it said.
The discussion also centred on the Laldia Container Terminal Project at Chattogram Port, emphasising how its establishment and operations will significantly enhance the port’s capacity, efficiency, and overall workability — a development that will ultimately bring substantial benefits to Bangladesh’s trade and economic growth.
In addition, Denmark expressed interest in exploring further collaboration, particularly in developing offshore wind energy generation projects in the coastal areas of Cox’s Bazar and Teknaf.
