NRBC Bank on Saturday organised a town hall meeting in Rangpur to review operational progress and discuss strategic priorities for its branches in the northern region, said a press release.

Chairman Md Ali Hossain Prodhania was present as chief guest at the meeting that brought together officials from all levels under the Rangpur Zone.


Managing director and chief executive officer Md Touhidul Alam Khan presided over the meeting.

Among others, deputy managing director and CFO Harunur Rashid and Rajshahi and Rangpur zonal head Ashim Kumar Das were present.

In his address, Md Ali Hossain Prodhania underscored the importance of financial inclusion in the northern districts, stating that NRBC Bank had been contributing to employment generation through its microfinance operations.

He emphasised the need to expand credit facilities to the cottage, micro, small and medium enterprises sector in underserved and rural areas.

He called on bank officials to maintain full compliance with regulatory guidelines while ensuring transparency in lending activities.

He also stressed the importance of effective loan recovery and responsible banking practices to safeguard the bank鈥檚 financial health.
