Modhumoti Bank PLC on July 31 donated Tk 18 lakh to Bangladesh Eye Trust Hospital under its CSR programme, said a press release.
The bank provided the support for cataract surgeries of underprivileged eye patients in rural areas.
MMBL managing director and chief executive officer Md Shafiul Azam handed over the cheque to Bangladesh Eye Trust Hospital chairman Mahbubur Rahman Chowdhury at a ceremony held at the hospital premises at Kamal Ataturk Avenue, Banani in the capital.
Among others, Bangladesh Eye Hospital and Institute managing director Niaz Abdur Rahman, MMBL additional managing director Shahnawaj Chowdhury and deputy managing director and chief business officer Arab Fazlur Rahman were present in the programme.
