
Robi Axiata PLC and the BIID Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding on Saturday to advance digital inclusion and social development across the country.
According to a press release, the partnership would focus on integrating digital solutions for nutrition, youth engagement in health and environment, promoting digital literacy among youth and rural populations, enabling access to entrepreneurial resources and digital solutions, conducting innovation labs and community-focused initiatives such as Nirvoya, Clean and Green Campus, and tree plantation.
Shahid Uddin Akbar, chief executive officer of BIID Foundation, and Shahed Alam, chief corporate and regulatory officer of Robi, signed the MoU.
Shahid Uddin Akbar said that this partnership reflected their shared commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
By combining BIID鈥檚 grassroots experience with Robi鈥檚 digital infrastructure and reach, they aimed to catalyse real change in the lives of underserved communities, especially in nutrition, digital skills, and youth empowerment.
Shahed Alam said that they were proud to join hands with the BIID Foundation to co-create solutions that empower people and communities through technology.
Sharif Shah Jamal Raj, director of corporate affairs and sustainability at Robi, along with officials from both organisations, were also present at the event.
