Asian Paints on Saturday unveiled ‘ColourNext 2025,’ a forecast highlighting the year’s evolving trends in colours, materials, textures and finishes, said a press release.
The event took place at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, bringing together the country’s leading voices in design, architecture and creative innovation.
Among others, Asian Paints International chief executive officer Joseph Eapen and regional head (South Asia and South Pacific Islands) Budhaditya Mukherjee were present.
At this year’s launch, spotlight was on Cardinal, which was named the ‘Colour of the Year 2025.’ This dusky, soulful purple is rooted in emotional depth and unfiltered authenticity. It embodies a profound sense of inner harmony, inspired by modern identity and need for reflection, said the release.
Joseph Eapen said, ‘Today’s consumers want more than just colour — they want their spaces to tell a story, to evoke a feeling. With ColourNext 2025, we’ve combined global insights with local relevance to offer a design toolkit that reflects how people live and feel. Our goal is to continue crafting colour and material solutions that are not only beautiful, but meaningful, enhancing both aesthetic value and everyday functionality.’
Budhaditya Mukherjee added, ‘ColourNext is a lens through which we see what truly moves people. Cardinal speaks to the emotional truth of our time and we’re proud to bring that dialogue to Bangladesh.’
