PRAN Group is arranging a mango festival named ‘PRAN Mango Fest’ from today at Rabindra Sarobar, Dhanmondi in the capital.

PRAN Group shared details of the event at a press conference held at its head office on Wednesday, said a press release.


The three-day festival will showcase a wide variety of locally grown mangoes, directly brought by farmers from mango-producing regions like Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj and Natore.

At the press conference, Eleash Mridha, managing director of PRAN Group said, ‘The market for mango-based products in Bangladesh is now worth around Tk 1,500 crore and international demand for Bangladeshi mangoes is growing. That’s why, branding of our mangoes is very essential. It’s a matter of pride that PRAN is now exporting mango-based drinks, juices, mango bar and pickle to 148 countries.’

Among others, Agricultural Marketing Company Limited (PRAN) marketing head Mahmudul Hasan Zisha, senior manager (operation)Mahabub Alam, PRAN Beverages assistant brand manager Omar Bin Zubair and sub assistant brand manager Tanjibul Hoque Tushar were present. 

All varieties of mangoes produced in Bangladesh will be showcased and sold at the event. The festival will highlight origins, history and heritage of different types of mangoes. There will be various games, traditional cultural performances and live music shows to make the festival more engaging. Music band ‘Warfaze’, singer Oyshee and other celebrated singers will perform during the cultural events.

The festival will run daily from 10:00am to 8:00pm and entry will be free for all visitors.
