Mercantile Bank PLC has participated in Proof of Concept for ‘green LC,’ executing the bank’s first inland LC on a locally developed blockchain-based digital trade platform, said a press release.
MBPLC managing director Mati Ul Hasan launched the PoC ceremony at the bank’s head office on June 25.
One Bank PLC participated in the transaction as beneficiary bank. The PoC was conducted in collaboration with Spectrum Software and Consulting Limited.
Among others, MBPLC DMD and CAMLCO Shamim Ahmed, DMD and ICCD head Ashim Kumar Saha, DMD and CBO Md Zahid Hossain and SSCL director — enterprise sales Farhanur Rahman were present in the ceremony.
