AB Bank PLC and Akij Takaful Life Insurance PLC signed an agreement under which AB Bank explored a new horizon in Islamic DPS by introducing free insurance coverage up to Tk 50 lakh for the first time for Islamic depositors.
Samsun Arifin, head of Islamic Banking Division, AB Bank, and Mohammad Masuduzzaman Khan, DMD and chief corporate financial officer, Akij Takaful Life Insurance, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Mohammad Sazzadul Karim, chief executive officer of Akij Takaful Life Insurance, Fardaus Ahmed, head of general banking division, Taufiq Hassan and head of Retail Banking Division along with other officials of both organisations were also present on the occasion.
