
Advance Personal Care Limited (APCL), a concern of PRAN Group, has introduced ‘Adora Aloe-Oatbath’ pet shampoo to the market to ensure the health and hygiene of pets.
The product was unveiled at a hotel in Gulshan in the capital on Thursday. On the day, a workshop on pet healthcare was also organised with the participation of country’s top veterinary professionals.
Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, president of the Bangladesh Small Animal Veterinary Association, along with 50 leading veterinary doctors attended the workshop while Hong Jinki, chief of commercial and technology of Singapore-based Maha Chemicals, joined the programme virtually and shared various insights regarding pet health.
Arunangshu Ghosh, head of business of APCL and Nayan Chandra Roy, head of marketing were present at the event.
Addressing the programme, Arunangshu Ghosh said, ‘The number of pet lovers in the country is growing day by day. People now consider pets as part of their family and prioritize their health. The current market for pet shampoo in Bangladesh is approximately Tk 90 crore annually, and it’s growing at a rate of 20 per cent per year. Seeing this immense potential, we are investing in this sector and aiming to introduce various pet healthcare products.’
He further added, ‘One of our main goals is to market this product internationally, particularly in North America and European countries, where the demand for pet healthcare products is very high. The annual global market of pet shampoo is worth nearly $60 crore. That’s why we have developed the formula for shampoo considering international market.’
The Adora Aloe-Oatbath Shampoo is now available at various veterinary clinics, pet shops, as well as retail chains like Daily Shopping, Best Buy, and online marketplace othoba.com.
