
Singer Bangladesh Limited on Thursday launched its state-of-the-art home appliances plant at Bangladesh Special Economic Zone, said a press release.
The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of , a subsidiary of Beko, flagship of Türkiye’s Koç Holding, Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority executive chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun was present as chief guest while Turkish ambassador to Bangladesh Ramis Sen was present as a guest of honour.
Spanning 1,35,000 square meters, the new facility is a flagship project within the BSEZ and will produce refrigerators, televisions, washing machines, air conditioners and other major appliances for the local market, the release said.
Among others, Fatih Kemal Ebiçlioğlu, president of Consumer Durables Group at Koç Holding, Hakan Bulgurlu, chief executive officer at Beko, and MHM Fairoz, managing director and chief executive officer at Singer Bangladesh Limited, were present. Singer Bangladesh Limited is a subsidiary of Beko, flagship of Turkey-based Koç Holding.
