Kutubuddin Ahmed has been appointed as honorary consul of Timor-Leste in Bangladesh by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said a press release.
An official letter in this regard was handed over to him by the ministry鈥檚 chief of protocol Khandaker Masudul Alam at the state guest house Meghna in the capital Dhaka on Thursday.
Kutubuddin Ahmed is currently serving as chairman of Sheltech Group, Envoy Legacy and Envoy Textiles Limited.
He is a former president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association and the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
