Fiction writer and translator Mojjafor Hossain said that he had tried to deconstruct myths in several stories in his new book titled 鈥楢dipaper Parer Pap鈥�.
鈥業 have deconstructed myths in several stories in the book. In the story 鈥淪in after the Original Sin鈥�, the first sin and the beginning of the wickedness of human being after coming to earth are brought up in the book,鈥� Mojjafor Hossain told 抖阴精品.
Published under the banner of the publishing house Pathak Samabesh, Adipaper Parer Pap contains 40 flash fictions, depicting the early history of people, social anomalies, plight of the marginalised and others. The cover of the book has been designed by artist Anisuzzaman Sohel.
Mojjafor, who has so far translated many short stories and essays from English to Bangla, said that he had tried to create a new narrative by integrating myths and human beliefs in the stories of the book.
Some of the stories of the book reveal the horrors of society, murder, oppression and suicide, mentioned Mojjafor.
The writer鈥檚 literary works include Timirjatra, Atit Ekta Bhindesh, Manusher Mangser Restora, Khun Hoye Jachchhe Sob Sadeq, Paradhin Desher Swadhin Manushera, Bishwasahityer Katha, Bishwasahityer Reeti O Nirmiti, Pathe Bishleshane Bishwagalpa and Dakshin Asiar Diaspora.
He received the Exim bank-Anyadin Humayun Ahmed Award and Abul Hasan Sahitya Puraskar.
