The United States embassy in Dhaka cautioned Bangladeshi applicants that submitting false information or fraudulent documents in visa applications could result in a permanent travel ban to the US.
‘The US department of state remains committed to upholding the highest standards of national security in its visa adjudication process. No visa is issued until all security concerns are fully resolved,’ the embassy said in a brief message on its verified Facebook page on Thursday.
It further noted that individuals, who attempt to obtain visas with fake documents, were denied and might face legal consequences both under US law and in the country where the application was submitted.
The embassy reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on fraud, urging applicants to provide accurate and verifiable information when applying for US visas.
